Introducing the new Thomastik Rondo Experience cello string, an A string that complements the rest of the Rondo cello string set and serves as an alternative to the traditional Rondo A string. Compared to its predecessor, the new Rondo Experience offers an exceptional level of brightness and tonal richness. Furthermore, it is a string much more responsive to every bow impulse, providing a quicker reaction and delivering a clear and distinctive sound with minimal effort from the left hand, a characteristic that provides the musician with a high level of modulation capability.
The Rondo Experience string has a tension 700 g lower than the traditional Rondo A string, yet it boasts an exceptionally powerful, compact sound with a wide range of colors, unlike other strings with soft tensions.
The ideal string for your instrument
As we have seen, the Thomastik Rondo Experience string and the traditional Rondo string have different characteristics, resulting in the new Rondo Experience string having a brighter sound and a quicker response to all bow movements. Therefore, if your instrument has a powerful sound or requires a softer tension, we recommend the new Rondo Experience string. Otherwise, if your instrument needs a more focused sound and greater definition, we recommend the traditional Rondo A string.
