This A + E double bass string set is suitable for both bowing and pizzicato, although it is not recommended for professional use in symphony orchestras, where bowing is required almost exclusively.
The strings are made from flat copper wire wound around a synthetic core.
Although the 16 Series has the same tension as the 22 Series, it provides more sustain while maintaining a pronounced percussive effect.
