I’ve had the opportunity to test this case during several train and plane trips, and the conclusion is that the Peak Performance Compact is a very practical case at all times. One of its main advantages when traveling is that this case allows you to carry everything you need in a single bundle, especially if you need to travel for work for a few days. Whatever you need, you can carry it with the Peak Performance Compact from BAM.
It is a case with excellent build quality and robustness. However, it is very easy to transport and carry anywhere. Its side handle and top handle, along with its backpack straps, allow you to carry it in the most convenient way. Another interesting aspect is the layout and size of its front pockets, where you can store your violin accessories as well as personal items you may need on your trip. One feature I would like to highlight is the top pocket, where you can store, for example, a train or plane ticket. This type of document fits perfectly and allows you to always have it on hand when you need it.

The case has a width that allows it to stand upright alongside other luggage on the train, thanks to its great stability. I was able to test this feature on a Barcelona-Paris trip, during which the Peak Performance Compact did not give way to the constant movements of the train, showing excellent balance and security at all times.
The same width of the case allows you to place all sorts of objects on top, such as bottles or electronic devices like a tablet or small laptop, making those waits at the airport, train station, or during long lines more bearable. The case's width provides it with great stability, so we won’t have to worry about shakes or unnecessary movements. Another point in favor of the Peak Performance Compact.
Its flat, rectangular shape makes it easy to place in any gap between luggage or on any surface. Additionally, the outer fabric is very resistant to scratches, allowing us to place it virtually anywhere without worry.

Above these lines, we can see the case placed on a shelf in the Heathrow Airport metro on the way to Victoria Station.
Although it doesn't have the dimensions of a cabin-sized case, if we travel with airlines that allow violins on board, we won’t need to carry an extra suitcase, as the two compartments in the case allow us to bring everything necessary for the trip: a small toiletry bag, underwear, a shirt, etc. It even features some elastic straps on the outside to secure any outerwear we’re not using, so we won't have to occupy our hands. The case includes a thermo that we can carry in the side mesh pocket (which is very useful and allows us to carry any other object of similar size). In my case, the hot coffee lasted most of the Barcelona-Paris trip. A small added value and a great complement when we are traveling.
In case we are flying with it, it's good to know that the airplane seatbelt fits perfectly around the exterior of the case, so there’s no need to request an extension as can happen with other larger cases or luggage. The Peak Performance Compact fits perfectly in the seat as the ideal travel companion it is.
