Developed for cellists seeking greater control and freedom of sound, Sovereign strings deliver an immediate and balanced tone, capable of moving naturally from dark and intense registers to lyrical warmth and light, defined pianissimos. Each string has been individually designed to fulfil a specific role within the set, achieving a uniform and stable response across the entire instrument.
The lower strings feature flexible steel cores and wolfram wound, providing depth, harmonic richness and powerful projection without excessive stiffness. The upper strings, with stainless steel wound, offer clarity, stability and excellent definition, completing a homogeneous set with a consistent feel from the C string to the A string.
