Pirastro Chorda violin strings are made of gut and have a very soft tension.

Pirastro Chorda violin strings generate a bright and soft sound with enormous possibilities, typical of baroque instruments. The strings have a very low tension, and give a great feeling of comfort in the left hand. They are designed for tuning at 440 Hz in medium tension, and at 415 Hz for high tension. Modifying the gauge by 1/4 PM changes the string tension by 3%. These are authentic strings and ideal for baroque instruments.
