- Pirastro Eudoxa-Stiff violin strings have a sheep gut core and are made, wound and polished in the traditional way, by hand. The sound is darker and more powerful than the Pirastro Eudoxa strings. Modifying the tension by 1/4 PM changes the tension of the string by 3%.
