We present the new Sovereign strings for cello, Larsen’s most soloistic set, created for professional musicians seeking greater power, clarity, and freedom of sound. They offer an immediate, precise, and nuanced response, providing wide sound control and great freedom of expression.
Developed in close collaboration with Larsen artists, they combine projection, definition, and tonal richness, allowing a natural transition from dark and powerful sonorities to lyrical warmth with light and well-defined pianissimos.
Each string has been designed to fulfill a specific role within the set, achieving a uniform and balanced response across the entire instrument. The lower strings incorporate flexible steel cores that provide depth, harmonic richness, and a fast response. In addition, the high-density tungsten winding on the G and C strings delivers power, darkness, and projection without adding excessive stiffness.
The A string, with stainless steel winding, completes a homogeneous set, offering a warm, focused, and stable sound, with a consistent feel from the C string to the A string.
