  • Jacques Poullot is a master bow-maker born in 1960, Dijon. In 1976 he won the competition of the School of Lutherie in Mirecourt and joined the bow-making workshop under the direction of Bernard Ouchard. In 1979, he obtained a patent of technician/craftsman in instruments, and completed his four years of training in the workshop of the luthier Claudot Albert in Dijon (the best French technician). He has participated in several competitions of great relevance in the bow-making sector, and has also won several prizes, such as the second prize in the Certificate of Wrokmanship issued by thviolin E Society of America, the City of Paris prize for his violin bow (1991), the Grand Prix Dunhill (1998), among others.

All his bows are handcrafted with Pernambuco wood and ebony frog. Both woods have previously undergone a long drying process in perfec conditions. It should not be ignored that Jacques is trained as a classical musician, a fact that provides him with a deep knowledge of the needs that the performer may have, and which he manages to cover in all his pieces. His bows are among the most popular of modern manufacturers, and are ideal for professional musicians.
