The Gliga Vasile violin has been handcrafted in Romania by the master luthier Gliga Vasile with selected woods from the Carpathian Mountains, where it is known that Antonio Stradivari chose some of the woods he used for his instruments.
Gliga manufactures all his instruments by hand, from carving the woods to the final touch, using mostly oil varnishes in thin layers until achieving a great transparency. The antiqued finish brings a great warmth to the appearance of the instrument.
The Gliga Vasile violin comes with Thomastik Dominant strings, giving a soft, clear and warm sound to the instrument.
